Wedding details released for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Feb 25, 2018 | February2018 |

Everyone is looking forward to the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 19.

Palace officials released details on Sunday about the wedding, which will take place at St. George’s Chapel. The service will start at 12 p.m. U.K. time, or 7 a.m. EST/4 a.m. PST, with a romantic carriage ride through the streets set to take place an hour after that.

“They hope this short journey will provide an opportunity for more people to come together around Windsor and to enjoy the atmosphere of this special day,” the Kensington Palace statement said of the planned carriage ride.

The two will be married by the Archbishop of Canterbury The Most Revd. and Rt Hon. Justin Welby, though Rt Revd. David Conner, the Dean of Windsor will lead the service, according to People.

After the carriage procession, a reception will be held at St. George’s Hall, a state room in the castle. A more private evening reception will be held later by Harry’s father, Prince Charles, though the location is not yet known.

Who’s on the guest list?
Not included in the wedding details were the names of those who would be invited to the celebrations.

There have been rumors that Prince Harry might want to invite former U.S. President Barack Obama, since the two enjoy a close friendship, but that might cause problems with a jealous President Donald Trump.

In December, Prince Harry refused to say whether or not he would be inviting the former US president.

The question came up on a BBC radio show where he was guest editing. He had also recorded an interview with former President Obama on that show, so the topic of their friendship came up easily.

But as for whether the friendship would result in a royal wedding invitation, Harry wouldn’t say.

“We haven’t put the invites or the guest list together yet so who knows whether he’s going to be invited or not. I wouldn’t want to ruin that surprise,” Harry said.
