So once again--for the 12th consecutive year--the Prison & Jail Project held its week-long FREEDOMWALK, traveling 105 miles on foot through six rural southwest Georgia counties. Elnora (Wright) Kearse, of Hartford, widow of Mathis Kearse, died Saturday, September 29, 2007, at her home. Born in DeSoto, GA, daughter of the late Freeman and Martha (Laramore) Wright, she lived in Hartford 55 years. She was a founding member in 1957 of Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Hartford where she had been very active for many years.
