Mrs. Bernice Pope Brown
Mrs. Bernice Pope Brown was born in Sumter County, Georgia on April 30, 1952 to the parentage of the late Mr. Sammy Lee Pope and the late Mrs. Verdell Bush Pope. She received her education in the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, she joined the Triedstone Baptist Church. Bernice was employed with Cooper Lighting until she moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She met and later married Mr. Louis Brown and to their union two children were born. She was employed by Georgia State University as a Chef.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Mr. Louis Brown, Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Ms. Sherita Brown and fiancé Mr. Tony Mayes, Atlanta, GA; her son, Mr. Antonio Brown and friend, Ms. Natasha McKine, Atlanta, GA; four brothers, Mr. Henry Lee (Cathy) Pope, Rochester, NY, Mr. Tony (Yvonne) Pope, Atlanta, GA, Mr. Walter Lee Pope, Mr. James Lee Pope of Americus, GA and Mr. Thomas (Yvette) Pope, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Lashawn Brown, Julius Manning, Jr., Fred Manning, Gakeisha Brown, Akeria Heath and Gerald Heath, Jr.; eight great grandchildren, Ma’kilah “Kiley” Burgess, Kaden Amir Brown, Ma’kih Josiah Heath, Khloe Laneen Brown, Shamari Manning, Julia Manning, Fred Manning, Jr. and Fred Manning, III; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends also survive.
