Mrs. Annie Willie Carson

Feb 25, 2018 | February2018 |

Mrs. Annie Willie Carson was born on February 19, 1939 to the parentage of the late Tobe Carson and the late Ella Stinson Carson in Macon County, Georgia. She received her formal education in the Macon County Public Schools. She married Jeremiah Thornton on October 5, 1957. To this union, five children were born: Sylvia Thornton Wromas, Margie V. Thornton, Terry A. Thornton, Alvin J. Thornton, and a devoted, beloved daughter, Samantha B. Idlette.

At an early age, she devoted her life to Christ and became a faithful member of Healing Temple under the leadership of the late Bishop P. J. Welch. She was later led to become a founding pillar of United Holiness Church, Inc. as the church Missionary under the leadership of the late Overseer Aaron Snipes, Sr. She served faithfully under his leadership, the late Pastor Walter C. Franklin and now, Bishop Arthur J. Fulton until her health began to decline. She served as the Northern District Missionary of Untied Holiness Church and served on several organizations throughout the community. She also preached and taught God’s word in Sunday School, bible studies and many revivals.

Her home was a haven to many. She opened her home, heart and kitchen to anyone in need or just looking to fellowship. She absolutely loved God’s people in word and deed.

She is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angela M. Thornton and a son-in-law, Keith Wromas, Sr.

On February 2, 2018, God decided it was time for her to come home. She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Mary (Fletcher) Price, Albany, GA; four children: Sylvia Wromas (late Keith Wromas, Sr.), Miami, FL; Margie Thornton, Fayetteville, GA; Terry Thornton, Miami, FL; Alvin Thornton (Berta S.
