Restoration Church celebrates first anniversary

On Wednesday, June 21,2006, a meeting was held at 1213 Douglas Circle which marked the beginning of The Restoration Church of Americus. The vision to establish the church was given by God to Pastor George F. Edge several years earlier.  Full Story................

Marcus Garvey was born in St Ann's Bay, Jamaica on 17 August 1887, the youngest of 11 children. Garvey was a black nationalist who created a 'Back to Africa' movement in the United States. He became an inspirational figure for later civil rights activists.
