ASHS Recognizes Teacher Of The Month

Mr. Coleman Price has been chosen as Americus-Sumter High’s Teacher of the Month for January 2018. Each month one ASHS teacher is selected to receive this award for exhibiting exemplary service to students and parents. Assistant Principal Todd Vickery presented Price with the award during a ceremony in the ASHS library recently.

Mr. Price has a total of fifteen years in education, all of which have been with Sumter County Schools. He has a Bachelors in Chemistry and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southwestern State University, and a Specialist degree in Leadership from Valdosta State University. His specialty is in teaching chemistry and physical science. Additionally, he
is cross-field certified to teach in all science disciplines. Price said he is humbled to be chosen as Teacher of the Month at ASHS. “For me, it’s all about teaching and learning, and doing what’s right for my students.”

Principal Kimothy Hadley praised Price for his tireless effort in bringing top-level instruction to his students. “Mr. Price provides classroom instruction that allows his students to become researchers. He does a good job of letting his students
learn through exploration and explanation.”



Brandon and Quina Morgan celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary on March 7.


Coleman Price was recently chosen as the ASHS Teacher of the Month for January 2018.
