ASU graduate receives HUD Award

Albany State University graduate Booker T. Jones III, recently traveled to Washington D.C. to receive an award from Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Inspector General Office. He was nominated by the Atlanta Office and was later selected as the Top New Auditor Trainee in the United States after just seven months on the job.  ....Full Story>>


Lowe’s Coming to Americus Despite Opposition

The Americus Sumter County Payroll Development Authority voted to enter into an agreement with the city council and county commission to bring Lowe’s Home Improvement Store to Americus. The PDA’s agreement will be “contingent upon the fact that there is a governmental agreement reached between the city, county and PDA sharing equally in the total of $846,400.  ....Full Story>>
